OneBook...what reading should be
Reading as a whole College experience – that’s what OneBook is. Faculty, staff, and students come together across disciplines to read the same book and participate in a wide array of campus events related to that book. Conversations are started. People make connections. Classes across disciplines delve into those connections a story can make to us all and help link the College community through this common project.
What are you doing on Tuesdays?
Join other members of the College by diving into Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie, a book about living fully, even while suffering. Lessons found in Tuesdays are many: what is true learning? what are the most important things in life? how do we live a full life? Disciplines as diverse as Psychology, English, Occupational Therapy, Sociology, Reading, Medical Assisting, Art and GED all have incorporated the book into their curriculums for the fall 2010 semester. It’s never too late to get involved in OneBook BCC.
Want to use Tuesdays with Morrie in your course?
Faculty members who would like to use Tuesdays with Morrie in their courses have access to two sets of the book (currently on reserve) for class use. Faculty members can check out the set for a period of two weeks. If you would like to reserve the set for specific dates, please contact Bob Rezendes at ext. 2106.
