PATHHS participants will learn reading and writing skills necessary for college level work, occupational skills needed for entry level jobs or advancement in healthcare and human services, psychological and people skills essential to helping professions.

As a PATHHS learner you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational/training options that are designed to prepare you for entry level employment and/or advancement in the field of healthcare and human services such as:

  • Youth Academy provides youth 17-24 with the skills and pre-employment certifications necessary to begin entry-level jobs in the field of health or human services.

  • Career Exploration/Realistic Job Preview Course for learners close to achieving GED requirements to explore careers in health or human services.

  • BCC Learning Community assists unemployed or underemployed people to master college-level reading and writing skills while completing a college-level psychology course. You will earn 9 credits and obtain pre-employment certifications necessary to begin entry-level jobs in the field of health or human services.

  • BCC Supervision and Leadership Course helps people employed in health and human services to gain valuable skills to move ahead in their careers.
  • Additional Continuing Education/HHS Options provide continued education and advancement opportunities for employed workers or PATHHS graduates, such as Pharmacy Tech, Medical Billing and Coding, CNS, Medical Interpreting, National Alliance for Direct Support, and others.

  • Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Course augments partner employers paid tuition benefits to assist employees accepted in accredited programs to become an LPN.

  • BCC/DMR Human Services Certificate Program is an innovating educational program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of direct support workers. It is the result of collaboration between the Department of Developmental Services and the Massachusetts Community Colleges.

  • A.S. Degree in Nursing ents partner employers paid tuition benefits to assist employees accepted in the A.S. Nursing program at BCC.
