Adult Basic Education Advisory Council

The Advisory Council provides students with a leadership opportunity. The Council supports program improvement by giving input into the program planning process. It also assists program staff in evaluating how well our services are meeting participant needs. Council members include current students, former students, ABE staff and BCC staff, and community members.

The requirements and responsibilities of the members include:

• Attending and participating in (4) one and a half hour meetings throughout the calendar year
• Facilitating yearly student assemblies and reporting on findings


• Providing input and advising staff in response to identified program issues and needs.
