Steps You Need To Take

To Start the Admissions Process:

  1. Fill out and send completed application for admissions to the Admissions Office.
  2. Include a check or money order payable to Bristol Community College for the appropriate application fee.
    $10.00 for Massachusetts residents and qualified New England Regional Student Program. Rhode Island: Adamsville, Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Riverside, Rumford, Tiverton, Warren
    $35.00 For all others.
  3. Ask your high school and all post secondary schools you attended to send an official transcript of your grades to the BCC Admissions Office.
  4. If you have received your G.E.D., have an official copy of your test scores sent to the BCC Admissions Office.
    Transcripts must be official. The office can not accept copies of transcripts made by students.
  5. Contact Financial Aid x.2515 to start the financial aid process.
    Students must be admitted to a degree or applicable certificate program in order to be eligible to receive financial aid.

Don’t forget to send your registration and health immunization forms after you receive the admissions decision.

Final Steps to Completing the Admissions Process:

Once all the information is received, your completed application will be put up for review for the desired program.

  1. After the review process is complete, you will be notified by mail of the admissions decision. Financial Aid will also be notified of your acceptance.
  2. If you are accepted you will receive an acceptance packet in the mail that will include the following:
    1. Response form (Will-Attend slip)
    2. Health Immunization forms
    These forms must be sent back to the admissions office as soon as possible to complete the admissions process.

Once the office receives the response form the Placement Testing office is notified (if applicable). 

You will be sent information for placement testing registration (if applicable).

  • After placement testing you will meet with a counselor and register for classes.

Credits will be evaluated for student’s who are transferring from an accredited college or university (only after response form has been received).

  • Notification of transfer credits will be mailed.
  • Advisement and registration appointment will proceed.
