International Students
Students attending the college with any type of travel visa must pay out-of-state tuition rates.

Senior Citizen Exemption
Massachusetts residents sixty years and older may attend Bristol Community College on a space-available basis at no tuition charge.

Hope Scholarship
Students enrolled in six credits or more in the first two years of an undergraduate program day or evening are eligible for the Hope Scholarship, a federal tax credit. Students pay their tuition and fees, and then can claim a tax credit against their tax liability. Students may take a credit of 100 percent of the first $1,000, and 50 percent of the next $1,000, for a maximum in any tax year of $1,500. Students are eligible for the credit for two years. MassPIRG
MassPIRG is a non-refundable fee. It can be waived by filling out a MassPIRG Waiver form.

Summer Refund Policy

Withdrawing from a course – SUMMER SEMESTER ONLY

To be eligible for a refund you must complete an official withdrawal form available in the Enrollment Center, in the Commonwealth College Center.  All students must follow the withdrawal refund procedure, including those on financial aid or other third party payment plans.  Lack of attendance has no bearing on refunds.  Students who do not officially withdraw from a course will be responsible for payment in full.  Refunds take form four to six weeks to be processed and are mailed directly to the student.

 

Credit course refund policy - SUMMER SEMESTER ONLY:

 

If you withdraw prior to the beginning of classes or during the first two weeks of classes, you will receive a 100 percent refund minus a $37 student support fee if withdrawing from all courses.  Withdrawal during the third week of classes will result in a 50 percent refund minus a $37 student support fee if withdrawing from all courses.  Withdrawal after the third week of classes will result in no refund. For classes that begin in the week of June 7, 2010 eleven week session the second week of classes ends on June 21, 2010, and the third week of classes ends on June 28, 2010. For classes that begin in the week of June 7, 2010 six week session the 100 percent refund ends on June 14, 2010 and the 50 percent refund ends on June 21, 2010. For Second Half Courses, six week session the 100 percent refund ends on July 26, 2010 and the 50 percent refund ends on August 2, 2010
