ACCUPLACER tests are adaptive.
This means that the computer automatically determines which questions are presented to you based on your responses to prior questions. This technique selects just the right questions to ask without being too easy or too difficult. Generally students take 1.5-2 hours to finish. Take the tests seriously! Not trying your best may result in placement of courses below your skill level and may not count toward your major.
There is no fee for testing.
Students are allowed one (1) retest.
If you are transferring in credits from another college, you should not schedule an appointment until you have received an official transfer credit evaluation from the Office of Admissions. You may be exempt from testing.
