Exit Counseling

Exit counseling is required for loan borrowers prior to graduating or leaving college.  This on-line exit counseling is created to make sure you understand your rights and responsibilities as a federal student loan borrower.

The type of loan you received will determine which exit counseling session you complete.

FFEL Stafford Loan borrowers need to visit the USA Funds site.
Direct Stafford Loan borrowers need to visit the Federal Student Loan Servicing site.

How do you know which type of loan you received?

• You can check your loan history at the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
  • You will need your FAFSA PIN to access the NSLDS site
• You can also check your loan history through accessBCC for each academic year you attended.
• Note:  If you borrowed from both the FFEL and the Direct Stafford programs while attending BCC, you will need to complete a counseling session for each type
