CONNECT comes to BCC Fall River
On Friday, September 25, Fall River, Taunton, and Attleboro public school students visited the Bristol Community College campuses in Attleboro and Fall River.
Student participated in workshops including engineering, computer animation, sustainable energy, HTML coding, and more. Dr. John J. Sbrega, BCC President, says the workshops will introduce students to the technology and curriculum that is a response to today’s in-demand and emerging career fields. "The earlier students are exposed to the possibility of good careers, the more likely they are to take the courses they need to be prepared for college.” Sbrega added.
The primary goals of this initiative are to ensure that students will have a heightened awareness for the potential of college going forward and will have increased motivation to complete middle school and high school. Click here for the Fall River Community Media recap of the event.
