BCC Foundation

The Bristol Community College Foundation was established to raise private funds to help support Bristol Community College. It helps the college to obtain financial support to enhance the ability of the college to meet the lifelong educational needs of the growing and changing community it serves.

The Bristol Community College Foundation was founded in 1980 as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing private support for the students and academic resources of Bristol Community College.

Funds raised by the Foundation provide:

  • scholarships
  • interest-free emergency student loans,
  • grants for special academic programs and equipment.
  • restricted funds for special college needs.

The Foundation collaborates with the College to apply for grant funding for major projects from other foundations, corporations, and community organizations. In addition, the Foundation is building endowment funds to provide ongoing support for the future.

The business of the Foundation is conducted by a 20-member volunteer Board of Directors. Members on the Board are from a wide variety of backgrounds from towns and cities throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

For more than twenty years, the BCC Foundation has provided vital funding for Bristol Community College and its students. As of the June 30, 2006, net assets for the BCC Foundation totaled $7,233,002.

Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible. See Ways to Give for more information on how to donate.
