In today’s economy, affordability often overrides quality. With BCC, your business has access to market-responsive training programs that won’t break the bank. Training grants are available through federal and state funding opportunities and the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Program. BCC Corporate Services works with your management team to take the difficulty out of the grant-writing process from start to finish.
You’ll receive an in-depth complimentary needs assessment where your organization’s training concerns are evaluated through employee interviews and focus groups. With your input, we write the grant, create a free customized training plan, and work hand in hand with your company throughout the application submission process.
Among the funding opportunities available in the area are the four grants within the Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP). The team stays up to date on other grant opportunities offered at a federal and state level.
- The General program is a competitive grant process, which allows for customized training within 24 months of receiving the award. Companies of all sizes can apply. Grants range from $10,000 to $250,000.
- The Express program is geared specifically to employers with fewer than 100 employees. This program addresses employee training needs through a list of pre-registered courses. Companies must pay into the Workforce Training Fund to be eligible to apply for grants. Reimbursement of up to 50 percent of the cost of training occurs when a company’s request has been approved. The maximum grant is $30,000.
- The Technical Assistance Grant must be completed within 12 months. Applicants include employers, industry associations, labor organizations, and community colleges. Grants range from $5,000 to $25,000.
- The Consortium Grant is an opportunity for similar companies to come together to satisfy a common training goal. Grants range from $10,000 to $250,000.
