Full time and Part-time benefited positions at Bristol
are categorized as follows: 

Non-Unit Professional
Non-Unit Professional positions at Bristol are non-union and subject to the rules stipulated by the Non-Unit Professional Personnel Policies of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Benefited, Non-Unit Professional employees are eligible for fringe benefits and receive vacation, sick and personal time. Part-time benefited employees accrue vacation, sick and personal time on a pro-rated basis.

Grant Funded Non-Unit Professional
Benefit eligible Grant Funded Non-Unit Professional positions are eligible for fringe benefits and receive vacation, sick and personal time. Benefit eligible part-time benefited employees accrue vacation, sick and personal time on a pro-rated basis.

Grant Funded Unit Professional
Grant Funded Unit Professional positions at Bristol are subject to a collective bargaining agreement, the Massachusetts Community College Council (MCCC). Benefit eligible Grant Professional employees are eligible for fringe benefits and receive vacation, sick and personal time. Benefit eligible part-time benefited eligible employees accrue vacation, sick and personal time on a pro-rated basis.

Faculty
Faculty at Bristol are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, the Massachusetts Community College Council (MCCC). Benefit eligible Faculty are eligible for fringe benefits, as well as, sick and personal time in accordance with their agreement.

Unit Professional
Unit Professional positions are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, the Massachusetts Community College Council (MCCC). Benefit eligible Unit Professionals are eligible for fringe benefits, as well as, vacation, sick, personal time, and compensatory time in accordance with their agreement. Part-time benefited Unit professionals accrue vacation, sick and personal time on a pro-rated basis.

Classified Clerical, Facilities, Security
Classified Administrative Support positions are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 93 (AFSCME). Benefit eligible Classified employees are eligible for fringe benefits, as well as, vacation, sick, personal, and compensatory time in accordance with their agreement. Part-time benefited employees accrue vacation, sick and personal time on a pro-rated basis.

Part-Time Non-Benefited Positions and Adjunct Faculty
Most part-time non-benefited positions at Bristol require employees to participate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts OBRA retirement plan. Voluntary retirement plans are available to part-time non-benefited employees, as well as, the state’s Commonwealth Choice medical plan options.

Most part-time positions are non-union with the exception of Part-time non-benefited Unit Professionals who accrue All Purpose Leave.

Adjunct Faculty at Bristol are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, Division of Continuing Education (DCE).
