Sbrega Building Receives National Geographic Recognition
The John J. Sbrega Health and Science Building, on the BCC Fall River Campus, has been included in National Geographic’s Top 10 Green Buildings of 2017.
The accolade is based on the Sbrega Building being recently named a Top Ten Project by the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (AIA COTE), the profession’s longest-running and best-known recognition program for sustainable design excellence.
The prestigious award’s ten measures of criteria encompass energy and water use, materials, resilience, economic impact, and even aspects such as walkability and transportation use by building occupants.
