Take a step into the Margaret L. Jackson Arts Center (H-Building), and you'll notice a great deal of influence by the BCC Theatre Rep.
For decades, the BCC Theatre Rep has provided great experiences for students interested in the arts and interested in mastering their craft. Students in Theatre Rep learn to take risks, gain self-confidence, and become prepared to move on to four-year institutions. They hone their craft on a professional-grade mainstage and in Studio 777, a black box theatre.
Students can expect hands-on training, personal attention, state-of-the-art facilities, cutting edge techniques and an unrivaled education in the program. BCC Theatre Rep produces two mainstage performances a year, allowing students to immerse themselves in the subject matter.
Throughout the school year, other shows are also produced and workshops are frequently offered to keep students sharp and engaged. Some selected BCC Theatre Rep students also work with fourth through sixth graders in the Fall River Mentor program, teaching theatre games and exercises, and helping young actors to explore their own abilities.
