A Letter from Dr. Sedgwick L. Harris, Ed.D.
Greetings, students of Bristol Community College!
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our exceptional faculty and staff and the entire college community, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to Bristol Community College.
Whether you are a new or returning student, seeking a degree or certificate, or looking to enhance your life or career through our diverse short-term programs, our unwavering dedication is committed to your success in achieving your goals. Many of our dedicated professors, advisors and financial aid professionals, including your president, are community college alums. We have walked the same path you will and are here to guide you as you navigate your busy life, attend classes and study in our state-of-the-art laboratories, smart classrooms and well-equipped library.
I am proud of Bristol's renowned reputation for preparing students for successful careers or furthering their academic journey by earning bachelor's degrees and beyond. As a Bristol graduate, you have numerous opportunities to seamlessly transfer your associate degree to regional and nationally recognized four-year institutions. If you plan to secure employment with your certificate or degree immediately, Bristol can assist you in connecting with leading employers within our service region and beyond our borders.
Above all, each of us at Bristol is committed to you, the individual student, and your success. We are the "community's college" dedicated to student success and the enrichment of our community.
I eagerly anticipate meeting as many of our students as possible and sincerely hope to personally welcome you to this student-first institution in the near future.
Sincerely,
Dr. Sedgwick L. Harris, Ed.D.
President of Bristol Community College
