The application for this program has four parts:

  • A resume

  • A copy of your certification

  • One letter of support from your principal or central office

We ask for these materials because the graduate credit you earn can be counted towards an MAT in History at UMass Dartmouth. These documents partially mirror the application process for admission to the MAT program.

Resume – Your resume should include all teaching appointments and other work experience, along with descriptions of other educational projects in which you’ve taken part, either inside or outside your school and district.

Certification – This program is only open to licensed teaching professionals.

Letters of Support – Submit, or have sent one letter of support from someone who knows you in your professional capacity, such as your principal or superintendent.

You may submit your application via email to Erik Baumann, at erik.baumann@bristolcc.edu or on paper to Erik Baumann at 777 Elsbree St., Bristol Community College, Room E200, Fall River MA 02720.

Applications are due by Wednesday December 12th, 2007. Applications received after that date cannot be considered. Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday December 19th, 2007. If you have any questions concerning this opportunity or the application process, please feel free to contact the Teaching American History office.
