Vaccine Policy for Employees
All employees of Bristol Community College must be in compliance with the COVID-19 vaccination policy by January 3, 2022.
Upload Complete: If you have already uploaded your COVID-19 vaccination card to the Bristol App or through the web link, you do not need to take any further action. You do NOT need to upload again for your booster.
Not Vaccinated: If you are not yet fully vaccinated and do not have a valid accommodation for COVID-19, you must receive your second dose of Moderna and Pfizer or your single dose of Johnson & Johnson by December 19, 2021, to be fully vaccinated by January 3, 2022. Check out this helpful COVID-19 vaccination timeline. Go to Bristolcc.edu/BristolVaxUp for directions on how to upload your vaccination card.
Upload your COVID-19 vaccination card: Proof of vaccination must be securely submitted by uploading your COVID-19 vaccination card through the Bristol Mobile App. The COVID-19 vaccination card must include both vaccinations for Moderna and Pfizer or one Johnson & Johnson vaccination. Visit Bristolcc.edu/BristolVaxUp for more information and instructions if you are not able to use the mobile app.
Employees may seek a reasonable accommodation in order to comply with the Employee Vaccination Policy by completing the designated Employee Reasonable Accommodation Request Form and providing valid supporting documentation. This process requires a detailed application and, in some cases, supporting documentation. Please submit this application as soon as possible to allow adequate time for review and consideration. Reasonable accommodations may include an interactive discussion process to determine validity of requested accommodation.
Your safety is our top priority.
The 15 Massachusetts community colleges did not make this decision lightly and took many considerations into place with your health and safety at the top of the list. The colleges decided that the Employee and Student Vaccination Policies are in the best interest of our students, faculty, staff and community based on the high number of new cases of COVID-19 in unvaccinated populations, the increased availability of vaccines in our community, the recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food & Drug Administration’s full and pending approval of available vaccines. The COVID-19 vaccine has been proven to be extremely safe and highly effective at preventing infection, severe disease, hospitalization, and death. The CDC has excellent resources and information for you to review.
The COVID-19 vaccination policy for students and employees is an additional layer to the many safety initiatives that the college has already instituted. We will continue to follow our Bristol Together plan including wearing masks indoors at all of our locations and closely monitoring the guidance of our public health officials.
