Bristol Faculty Handbook/Resource Guide

The Faculty Handbook is a resource for all faculty at Bristol Community College. It is intended to be a practical resource guide and a directory of where and from whom to obtain additional information and assistance.

Bristol Student Handbook

The Student Handbook explains the many College services available to further strengthen academic and personal development including student activities and opportunities to participate in College governance. It also outlines important policies that apply to students.

Union Contracts

The collective bargaining agreement by and between The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education and the Massachusetts Community College Council (MCCC) has been developed to promote the harmonious relations between the Employer and the Association regarding the provision General Laws, Chapter 150E, and the rules and regulations promulgated there under, to negotiate in good faith with respect to wages, hours, standards of productivity and performance, and other terms and conditions of employment.

This Agreement is entered into by and between the Board of Higher Education (hereinafter the Employer) and the Massachusetts Teachers Association/Massachusetts Community College Council (hereinafter the Association). It is the intention of the parties to address in this Agreement the ways in which distance education training and delivery impact the day and DCE MTA/MCCC bargaining units, and the way in which the collective bargaining agreements for each unit shall be interpreted as applied to distance education courses. All provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreements shall continue to be applicable consistent with their terms except as modified herein.

The collective bargaining agreement for Division of Continuing Education (DCE) between The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education and for The Massachusetts Community College Council outlines procedural guidelines and the contractual obligations for part-time professional employees teaching credit courses at a Community College.

(Clerical and Technical, Maintenance, and Security)

The collective bargaining agreement for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) explains procedures for the equitable resolution of grievances, the terms of employment with respect to wages and working conditions, and means by which the parties may consult periodically on mutually perceived problems and has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the Employer and the Union and the maintenance of a work environment where employees are treated with dignity, respect and civility.
