COURSE SEARCH

Tuition remission is available to benefited employees and eligible dependents at any Massachusetts college or university after a six (6) month waiting period with the exception of employees of the MCCC bargaining agreement. A "dependent child" shall mean any natural, adopted or stepchild who is claimed as a dependent on the eligible employee’s Federal Tax Return for the tax year immediately preceding enrollment and/or according to an employee’s collective bargaining agreement.

Courses at Bristol Community College

Day and Evening Courses (includes Distance Learning)

Benefited employees, their spouses and dependents are eligible for 100% tuition and fees are waived.
Please note: Benefited employees, their spouses and dependents must wait 1 week before class begins to enroll.


In addition to our catalog of degree and certificate programs, Bristol also provides access to hundreds of professional development, training, and other certificate programs, including the popular MindEdge and ed2go offerings. These programs are tailored to your needs, either self-paced – allowing you to learn at your own speed – or led by an instructor to support you through your learning! To Apply:

  1. Complete the Tuition Waiver for Bristol Community College. Route to appropriate supervisor/department head.
  2. Once approved by supervisor, the form will route to Human Resources for approval.
  3. The form will then be forwarded to Student Accounts.

Non-Bristol Courses at Other State Colleges and Universities 

Day/Evening Courses (includes Distance Learning)

Benefited employees, their spouses and dependents are eligible for tuition remission for day courses in fall and spring semester. The remission per school may vary and is subject to change. Please contact your school of interest directly to confirm the current rates.

To Apply:

  1. Complete the Tuition Remission for Higher Education. Route to appropriate supervisor/department head. 
  2. Once approved by supervisor, the form will be routed to Human Resources for approval.
  3. The form will be routed back to employees to register at the other state college’s or university’s enrollment office no earlier than 1 week before the class begins. 

Division of Continuing Education Unit Tuition Waiver

Eligible DCE Adjunct Faculty unit members or their spouse and/or dependent child/children, including any adopted or stepchild or children of the unit member under  the age of twenty-five (25) may be eligible for tuition waiver benefits. To view the full terms of these benefits please review the DCE Adjunct Faculty contract.

To Apply:  

  1. Complete the Tuition Waiver for DCE Unit Members.  
  2. Please note no more than four (4) credits per semester may be approved for the tuition waiver provided by the 10.2 Article.  
  3. The form will be routed back to the employees to register no earlier than 2 weeks before the class begins.
