Who are we?

The mission of Bristol’s Student Success Center is to identify, engage, and coach Bristol students facing challenges to their academic progress through a holistic case management approach that offers them additional support to achieve their goals.

How can we help you?

We can help!  

At the Center, we assist students by:

  • Creating a step-by-step plan to help you return or stay enrolled at the College.  
  • Providing regular check-ins to help keep you on track with your goals.
  • Connecting you to on-campus and off-campus community resources designed to support your continued success.

Meet our Staff

Student Success Coach – Carolyn Mase, M.S.Carolyn Mase, M.Ed.

Carolyn Mase grew up in Western Massachusetts, currently resides in Providence and spent about 2 years living in Spain. Carolyn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Framingham State University and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Carolyn is currently enrolled in Bristol's Spanish/English Community Interpreting certificate program.

After graduating from Framingham State, Carolyn spent time in the Barcelona region of Spain teaching English as a foreign language. Upon returning to the United States, she worked as the Educational Specialist for Housing Families in Malden, MA and from there went on to work as an International Admissions Counselor at MCPHS University. Just before joining Bristol Carolyn was working as academic advisor for an online educational organization while finishing up her master's degree.

Student Success Coach – Christine V. Ghani, M. Ed.Christine V. Ghani

Christine grew up in Rhode Island and still lives in the Providence area. She has a Bachelor of Science in Baking & Pastry and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University and a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from Bridgewater State University. Christine has previously interned in the Career Development Center at Rhode Island College and worked as a graduate assistant in Learning Assistance at BSU. As a former commuter student, she is passionate about helping students juggle their schoolwork and personal responsibilities. Yes, she still bakes, and enjoys gardening and playing with her dog!

Student Success Coach – Kylee Soares, M. Ed.Kylee Soares

Kylee is a first-generation college student who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from Bridgewater State University. Kylee formerly worked as an intern in Multicultural Affairs at Bristol Community College. In her internship, she worked with students from a variety of backgrounds through the Student Success Partnership program and helped students strengthen their academic success skills. Being a Bristol graduate and first-generation college student, she is dedicated to providing support and advocacy to students who have identified challenges to their academic and personal goals. She is overjoyed to be able to return to Bristol and make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Academic Coordinator – Amie Archambault Raines, M. Ed.Amie Archambault

Amie is a first-generation college graduate and queer woman who grew up in Portsmouth, RI. She is a double graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she played Division I college softball and has a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in College Student Personnel. Amie has worked in higher education for approximately 6 years and before joining Bristol, she was the Assistant Director and LGBTQIA+ Specialist in the Office of Multicultural Education at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. In her previous role she predominantly worked on student success programs and initiatives for first-generation college students and LGBTQIA+ students. She is excited to be joining the Student Success Center team where she can help guide students in blazing their own trails, connecting them to resources for success and ultimately helping them to achieve their personal and educational goals!

Academic Coordinator – Allie Dumont Midwood, M. Ed.Allie Dumont

Allie grew up in Westport, MA and currently resides in New Bedford, MA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with a concentration in Communication Disorders from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Merrimack College. While earning her graduate degree, Allie worked with students who were undeclared majors to help them discover their goals, abilities, values, and interests before choosing a program of study. Just before joining Bristol, Allie worked as an Advisor for several programs at New England Institute of Technology.

Allie is passionate about guiding and supporting students along their educational journeys by providing ample support, information and resources that align with their academic, personal, and career goals. In her free time, she enjoys creating one-of-a-kind resin art, playing with her dog, spending time by the ocean and trying new coffee shops.

Administrative Assistant – Laine Miller ClementsLaine Clements

Laine is a queer nonbinary person who grew up in the California Bay Area, throughout Arizona, and in Punjab, India. They have a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arizona, with a minor in Art History and certificate in Middle Eastern Studies. They have worked in collaboration with community members from Native populations in the northern Plains and the Missouri River Basin to secure protection for natural resources, including work on the first comprehensive ethno-ornithology of the Missouri River tribes and the establishment of the Badger-Two Medicine Traditional Cultural District in Montana. As a former commuter student who took time off in the middle of their degree, Laine is excited to help connect Bristol students to the resources they need to reach their academic, personal, and professional goals by providing administrative support to the Student Success Center team. They are also the advisor to the Gaming Club at Bristol. On the side, they like to sing, dance, and cook, often at the same time.
