Dr. Sedgwick L. Harris, Ed.D, President of Bristol Community CollegePresident Sedgwick L. Harris, Ed.D., is a committed leader in higher education as well as a proud community college graduate. His career reflects decades of dedicated service to students and communities. 

Prior to joining Bristol Community College, Dr. Harris served in several key leadership roles across multiple community colleges. He held the positions of Vice President of Administrative Affairs and Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His professional experience also includes leading student services at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois, and at Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. Earlier in his career, he directed admissions and student life at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. 

A Michigan native, Dr. Harris earned an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Mich., Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/Media Studies from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Okla., a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., and a Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.
