Pam Brown, M.Ed | Experiential Education Coordinator

‌Pam joined Bristol in 2019 and serves as the Experiential Education Coordinator for both the Service Learning and Internship Programs in the EEC. Pam earned a Bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University with a concentration in Psychology.

She completed internships in both the social service and education fields, volunteered with various non-profits and continuously utilized networking to enhance her career development. As a result, she discovered a passion for helping students and completed her Master of Education in Counseling degree at Providence College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family. 

Erin Smith, M.A. | Civic Engagement Coordinator

Erin joined Bristol in 2014 and serves as the Civic Engagement Coordinator in the EEC, helping students build connections with the local community through Service-Learning opportunities. While living in New York City in pursuit of her education, she became heavily involved with community outreach initiatives and found purpose in working with others to create positive social change on a local level. Erin obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Pace University and a Master’s degree in Education from New York University. In her free time, you can expect to see Erin at the local farmers market, spending time with her partner and two kids, hanging out at the dog park with her pup, and drinking coffee.

Maria Friedman, MSW | Internship Program Coordinator

Maria joined Bristol this November 2021 as the new coordinator for internships at EEC. Maria has a Bachelor's of Individualized Studies in Cultural Studies, Leadership, and Psychology with a Minor in Spanish from University of Minnesota and a Masters of Social Work from Rhode Island College. Maria has worked in a variety of settings, including in higher education, domestic violence, community organizing, youth development, and in the field of non-profit leadership. Maria found out she has a passion for helping college students build career skills in real-world settings after recruiting, training, and supervising student interns at the RI Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in her previous role, and is excited to continue this work at Bristol!

Mandie Pimental | Clerk

Mandie joined Bristol in July 2021 and serves as Clerk in the EEC. Mandie graduated from Bristol with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Certificate in Law Enforcement. She also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She was employed at a small family business for the last ten years and enjoys giving back to her community. She hopes to help students realize their full potential and achieve their goals. In her free time, she loves to go to the local beach and collect sea glass, as well as spend time with her two daughters and cat.

Marco Rodrigues | EEC Brand Ambassador

Marco Rodrigues

Marco is currently enrolled in Bristol's Computer Networking Program and hopes to pursue a career in information technology after he graduates. Marco joined the EEC this Spring 21 semester in a work-study position and will serve as a Brand Ambassador, assisting with promotional initiatives and connecting with the campus community to raise awareness of EEC's Civic Engagement and Internship Programs. In his free time, he likes to jog, spend time with friends and family, and keep up with the latest in technology. Welcome to the EEC team!
