What Will I Learn?

Students will be able to: 

  • Produce financial statements from business transactions and records
  • Apply accounting principles in preparation of financial statements
  • Critically analyze financial statements for decision making
  • Communicate accounting information in clear terms to diverse users
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative knowledge to interpreting accounting information.

Program Outcomes

Graduates seek employment as junior staff accountants, bookkeepers, loan service representatives, tax preparation assistants, credit and collection associates, and junior financial analysts. The program is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce immediately after graduation.

Job Outlook

Entry level accounting clerk jobs are very competitive with continued growth in junior accounting and tax assistant/preparer. Our program-required internships help open the door for students to be candidates for future employment with our community partners.
