Test Options

Schedule a Test

You have the option to test remotely from home or in person. Please choose one request option below:

Students who do not qualify for an exemption will take the Accuplacer test.

Exemption Options at Bristol

Students may be exempt from all or part of the Accuplacer placement test by any of the following:

  • If you graduated with a 2.7 GPA from any accredited U.S. high school within 5 years, you are exempt from the Accuplacer QAS test.
  • If you graduated with a 2.7 GPA from any accredited U.S. high school within 15 years, you are exempt from the Accuplacer WritePlacer and Reading tests.
Submit your official transcript to Admissions@BristolCC.edu
If you have completed the Accuplacer at another school, you can send us the results through the Accuplacer Student Portal.

Score of 500 or above on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section waives students from the Accuplacer WritePlacer and Reading tests. 

Score of 540 or above on the SAT Math test waives students from the Accuplacer QAS math test.

Score of 18 or above on the English test waives students from the Accuplacer WritePlacer and Reading tests. 

Score of 22 or above on the Math test waives students from the Accuplacer QAS math test.  

Please submit your official College Board score reports to the Admissions Office using the CLEP Policy document.

Students who earn AP Exam scores of 3 or above are generally considered to be qualified to receive college credit and/or placement into advanced courses due to the fact that their AP Exam scores are equivalent to a college course score of "middle C" or above. To send an official score report to us you please sign in to AP Scores for Students to order one. 

  • Scores of 165 or above on the Mathematical Reasoning test waives students from the Accuplacer QAS placement test.
  • Scores of 165 or above on the Reasoning through Language Arts test waives students from the WritePlacer and Reading placement tests.
  • These scores are applicable to examinees who tested after January 2014.
  • Scores of 15 or above on the Mathematics test waives students from the Accuplacer QAS placement test.
  • Scores of 15 or above on the Language Arts-Reading combined with a score of 15 or above on the Language Arts-Writing along with a score of 4 or above on the essay prompt waives students from the WritePlacer and Reading placement tests.
  • These scores are applicable to examinees who tested after January 2017.
