- Visit LinkedIn.com
- Click "Join now."
- Enter your name, email address, and create a password (we recommend using a personal email address).
Completing Your LinkedIn Profile
Fill out your job title, location, and education details.
As a student, your "job title" can be your current major or area of study (e.g., "Marketing Major" or "Biology Student"). Include your school name, expected graduation date, and any relevant academic achievements.
Adding a Professional Photo
Upload a clear, professional headshot. Avoid casual photos, selfies, or images with distracting backgrounds. Think of how you would dress for an interview!
Writing a Compelling Headline & Summary
Craft a headline that highlights your skills, career goals, and passions.
Your summary should briefly describe who you are, what you're studying, and what you're aiming to achieve professionally.
Example: “Accounting Graduate | Auditing and Assurance | Ensuring Business Trust and Transparency”

Start connecting with classmates, instructors, alumni, and professionals in your field or the field you want to go into. Follow companies and join relevant groups to expand your network.
