Academic Affairs - Program Review Year Five
Deliverables:
Comprehensive Program Review Report Peer Review
Fall Semester: Submission of draft Comprehensive Program Review Report
Spring Semester: External Peer Review
- Review with Director of Institutional Assessment and others as appropriate to prepare for peer review.
- June 30: Peer Review must be completed and submitted
The Goal: To ensure that program [and discipline] curriculum provides appropriate conditions for student achievement of intended program [and discipline] learning outcomes (Palomba & Banta, 1999).
This is the final year of the Program Review Cycle. Here, the focus will be on bringing all past deliverables, SMARTIE goals, and continuous improvement effort into one report. Because the work has remained on a continuum, Chairs/Coordinators and faculty should not be finding themselves starting from scratch. Rather, the work will be pulled from each year with updates and a narrative to explain findings and decisions made as a result. Furthermore, this will provide an opportunity to explain what new or improved initiatives were added as a result of findings. Lastly, assessment effort should be illustrated.
